The Short Version
Staying warm
The cold comes up from the ground. Get a pad under you, dress in layers, and bring more blanket than you think you need.
Read the full guide →What to bring
Chairs or a blanket, something warm, snacks, a flashlight. The checklist above covers the rest.
When to arrive
Come at door time if you want a center spot, have little kids, or want to beat the concession line.
Bringing kids
Check the runtime against bedtime, hit the restroom right before the movie, and sit near an edge if you might need to leave early.
Chairs or blankets
Blankets usually go up front and chairs behind. A low chair with a blanket over your legs is the comfortable middle.
Be a Good Neighbor
- Set up next to people, not in front of them.
- Keep phone screens dim and calls for after the movie.
- Point flashlights at the ground once the movie starts.
- Keep voices down. It's a big room with no walls.
- Stay off the cables and give the projector and speakers some room.
- Take your trash with you.
- Follow the crew's directions. They're keeping the lanes and exits clear.
